Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) Opportunity at RAP Manual Therapy and Massage – Beaverton, OR

RAP Manual Therapy and Massage is seeking a skilled, upbeat, and professional Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) to join our supportive, safe, and welcoming Beaverton clinic. We foster a positive environment for both clients and team members. To promote healthy work-life balance, we prefer candidates who live within a 20-minute commute.

We’re proud to be a preferred provider with Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS/Regence) and partnered with the Veterans Affairs (VA) to offer massage therapy to veterans. If you’re not yet credentialed, no worries—we start the credentialing process immediately upon hiring and support you every step of the way.

What We Offer

  • Growing opportunities with a steadily expanding client base for consistent demand
  • Strong earning potential—positive client feedback leads to a fuller schedule and higher income
  • Guaranteed base pay for the first 4 months to support your ramp-up: For each scheduled shift (typically up to 6 possible 60-minute bookings), earn the higher of $33 per possible booking (e.g., $198 for a full 6-booking shift) or 50% commission on services provided that day. Paid bi-weekly as an employee with taxes withheld.
Note on commission: Standard sessions price $115–$125 (50% = $57.50–$62.50 per session). For certain insured payers, reimbursement is fixed/lower—e.g., MVAs (auto insurance) are capped at $146 per session (50% = $73 max), and VA reimbursements start as low as $96.71 (50% ≈ $48.36). The base pay guarantee ensures stable earnings during lower-reimbursement sessions or while building your schedule.
  • After the initial 4 months, transition to our standard competitive 50% commission structure (with the same payer exceptions applying).
  • Supportive, collaborative, wellness-oriented team that values your expertise

Please note: We do not offer health insurance or paid vacation.

Accelerated Hiring & Onboarding Process

As an employee, we’ve streamlined onboarding to get you providing services quickly while credentialing progresses in parallel.

Immediate Start (2–3 weeks from hire agreement)

Once we agree to hire you, we begin credentialing right away. You’ll join the schedule within approximately 2–3 weeks to start seeing clients (initial focus on cash/self-pay where available, plus any immediate bookings).

Credentialing Timeline

  • VA credentialing typically takes about 1 month.
  • BCBS/Regence credentialing typically takes about 3 months.
  • We handle all paperwork and support throughout—no cost or hassle to you.

Schedule Ramp-Up

  • Start with 2 days per week (current openings: Monday, Friday, and Saturday).
  • Expand to additional days as your schedule fills through referrals, reviews, and access to insured clients (BCBS and VA veterans) once credentialed.
  • Important note on punctuality: To ensure smooth operations and the best client experience, therapists must arrive at least 15 minutes before their first appointment of the day for room prep, briefing/review, sanitization, and mental refocusing.

Guaranteed Base Pay applies from your first day of treating clients through the initial 4 months total.

Qualifications

  • Valid Oregon Massage Therapy License
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
  • Expertise in deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and pain management techniques
  • Experience with patient assessments and occupational health
  • Solid background in customer service
  • Strong punctuality and reliability — must be able to arrive at least 15 minutes early before the first appointment of the day for preparation, briefing, and refocusing (this is a key requirement for maintaining our clinic’s flow and high standards)
