Medical Massage at RAP Manual Therapy

Medical Massage

What is Medical Massage?

Medical Massage is a targeted form of soft tissue manipulation, or Manual Therapy, designed to achieve specific therapeutic outcomes rather than solely focusing on relaxation. It’s often integrated into a comprehensive treatment plan prescribed by your Primary Care Physician, Chiropractor, or Doctor of Physical Therapy to address conditions stemming from car accidents, workplace injuries, or chronic pain.

How is it Different?

Unlike general wellness or relaxation massages that may treat the entire body, Medical Massage zeroes in on specific symptomatic areas and related regions. The goal is to alleviate symptoms, reduce pain, and expedite recovery. If you have a prescription for Massage Therapy, you’ll receive this specialized treatment. However, Medical Massage is also available for those paying out-of-pocket. Communicate your specific needs to our practitioners, and we’ll tailor the session accordingly.
